Imagine wanting to leave … have you ever thought about it?

That's the theme of our project in Transmedia Design. Under the topic of migration, we explored German emigrants since 2000: Why do they leave? Where to? And who actually goes?

At its core is an interactive tablet app that helps users find countries matching their reasons for wanting to emigrate. It's paired with an exhibition table featuring the tablet, a survey, and playing cards — each card representing a typical emigrant and linking via QR code to a fictional AI-generated chat with voice messages and photos telling their story.

We also made a short film capturing the hope, dreams, and doubts before emigrating.
